THROUGH THE EASTERN AND WESTERN CAPE
Day 1: Cape Town
Arrival in Cape Town and pick up you rental car. You can
first check in with your accommodation and if there is
still time you can explore the city. Overnight in Cape
Town
Day 2: Cape Town
Full
day around the point of Cape Town in which you visit the
Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the penguins in
Simonstown. Overnight in Cape Town
Day 3: Cape Town
Today
you can visit any of the attractions in Cape Town like:
V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Gardens,
The Company Gardens etc. Overnight in Cape Town
Day 4: Hermanus
Fro
Cape Town you travel along the coast of flowers to
Hermanus. Hermanus is well known for its whale watching
in Whale Season (July – November). Out of Whale Season
is Hermanus a nice coastal place to visit and for the
adventurous once you can dive with the Great White
Sharks.
Day 5: Mosselbay
Late
in the afternoon you start your drive to Mosselbay in a
slow pace. On your way you can visit Swellendam, the
third town of South Africa. Swellendam has a beautiful
museum to visit. Overnight in Mosselbay.
Day 6: Knysna
You
follow the N2 and pass the beautiful Wilderness area
ending up in Knysna. Overnight in Knysna.
Day 7: Knysna
Another day in Knysna to explore the town and take one
of the cruises to the Knysna Heads. A popular tour is
the Featherbed Nature Reserve trip which starts at 10am
and ends at 2pm. The trip starts with a boat cruise to
the nature reserve followed by a tractor ride and a
hike. Lunch is served at the nature reserve. Overnight
in Knysna.
Day 8: Jeffreys Bay
From
Knysna you follow the N2 towards Jeffreys Bay. On the
way you can visit Plettenberg Bay, Monkeyland and the
Tsitsikamma National Park. Overnight in Jeffreys Bay.
Day 9: Jeffreys Bay
Jeffreys Bay is well known for its beautiful long
beaches with an abundance of shells. Apart from that it
is one op the top 10 best places in the world to surf.
Today you can either enjoy the beach or shops or book
one of the many activities in town. Overnight in
Jeffreys Bay.
Day 10: Addo and Schotia
The
Eastern Cape is popular for its game reserves, which you
are going to see today. A combination of the Addo
Elephant Park and Schotia Safaris is an excellent
opportunity to see a lot of wildlife like elephants,
rhino, buffalo, hippo, lions, zebra’s, giraffe,
wildebeest etc. Overnight in Jeffreys Bay
Day 11: Oudthoorn
You
drive along the longkloof to Oudtshoorn with several
stops along the way. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.
Day 12: Oudtshoorn
There
is lots to see and do in Oudtshoorn. You can visit the
Cango Caves, on of the Ostrich Farms, the Cheetah
Wildlife Rance or you can explore the Swartberg Pass.
Overnight in Oudtshoorn.
Day 13: Stellenbosch
You
drive along the R62 wine-route towards Stellenbosch with
several stops along the way. Overnight in Stellenbosch.
Day 14: Airport
If you
have some time before your flight you can visit the cozy
town of Stellenbosch with is abundance of wine farms.
